The Carolina Beach Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of fitness, leisure interest, and youth development programs. We also provide many special events throughout the year.

Summer Movies at the Lake
We had so much fun with our Sunday Movies at the Carolina Beach Lake! We will post our Summer 2026 Schedule in April of 2026. Movies begin at dusk and admission is FREE!
Family Nights
Check back in April 2026 for our Summer 2026 Family Night Schedule! Join us at the Carolina Beach Lake on Tuesday Evenings for Family Night. Activities include family entertainment, face painting, characters, and Pleasure Island Sea Turtle Project presentations. All Family Night sponsored activities are free and weather permitting.
Bands and Fireworks
Check back in April 2026 for our Summer 2026 Fireworks and Band Schedule! Join us at the Carolina Beach Gazebo Stage for music and fireworks! Bands take the stage at 6:30 pm and continue until 9:30 pm. Fireworks start at 9:00 pm. You are encouraged to bring your own chair and cash to purchase raffle tickets! All activities are weather permitting.
Easter Jamboree
Every Spring, we enjoy a special appearance from the Easter Bunny at Mike Chappell Park! This event offers games, crafts, prizes and an Easter Egg Hunt for kids 12 and under all for free.
Halloween Carnival
A free family event filled with games, prizes, candy, bounce houses, music and fun! A costume contest ends the festivities so dress to impress! Interested in sponsoring a game for our Halloween Carnival? We would love to have your business or local group for this fun event!
